Follow the Bruce Highway north for approx. 640kms (7-8hr trip) to Rockhampton. Take the Bruce Highway (A1) through Rockhampton (follow Mackay signs) – you will cross the Fitzroy River, pass Stockland Shopping Centre on right, pass CQU (Central University) on right, pass the Yeppoon turnoff (which is the last set of lights out of Rocky), The True Blue Motor Inn is situated 3kms north of here on the right hand side. Turn off highway into reception driveway or if you are in a truck, very long vehicle or higher than 2.7m take the gravel road turn just north of the Motel’s main entrance. This entrance will take you around the back to a parking area.
Follow the Sunshine Coast signs from the airport onto the Gateway Motorway northbound from the airport. Follow Sunshine Coast signs on the motorway to the A1 – Bruce Highway and head north following the directions above.
Follow the Bruce Highway (A1) south to Rockhampton for approx. 1300kms (14hr trip) from Port Douglas, 1050kms (12.5hr trip) from Cairns, 730kms (8.5hr trip) from Townsville, 450kms (5hr trip) from Airlie Beach.
